The following is the full text of my PhD dissertation
from Peter F. Drucker School of Claremont Graduate Univ., California USA.
The doctoral degree was awarded in January 1998
while the field research was conducted 1996~1997.
My dissertation is about international-business strategy
of Korea's five flagship companies, one each from five different chaebols.
There was a saying around the research time for chaebols' strategy,
"Conceptually strong, but practically weak."
I believe exactly the same holds, with few exceptions, even around 2010.
In other word, my findings are no less relevant now that they were then.
